A Singapore court has postponed until August 22 the fraud hearing for three individuals linked to alleged misrepresentation in AI chip shipments. The defendants—Singaporeans Aaron Woon Guo Jie and Alan Wei Zhaolun, alongside Chinese national Li Ming—are accused of misleading server vendors about end users, with prosecutors citing potential international security risks.

Authorities claim the trio falsified documentation for hardware purchases throughout 2023-2024, reportedly diverting shipments to DeepSeek, a Chinese AI company. Prosecutors requested additional time to analyze newly obtained documents and await responses from overseas entities regarding the chips' rerouting path after leaving Singapore.

Dell Technologies and Super Micro Computer allegedly supplied servers to Singapore-based firms, which were then shipped to Malaysia—though the final destination remains unconfirmed. Deputy Public Prosecutor Phoebe Tan emphasized ongoing police investigations, with 10 follow-up actions since the May 2 hearing.
